Successful Mental Health Check up Camp in Meerut! 🌟
At Dr. Anurag Gupta's clinic in Meerut, we organized a Mental Health Check up Camp that exceeded expectations! We hypothesized that many attendees would show signs of depression, and the results confirmed our concerns.
Out of 86 individuals who took the PHQ-9 assessment, nearly 30% showed symptoms of moderate to severe depression. Dr. Anurag Gupta, a distinguished MD and MRCP (London) with over 30 years of medical practice, allowed us to conduct this camp at his esteemed clinic. During our discussion, Dr. Anurag Gupta shared that around a quarter of his patients are prescribed anti-depressants.
In further discussions with Dr. Neena Gupta,an expert in her field, corroborated similar trends. Both doctors' insights highlight the importance of addressing mental health concerns.
Here's the startling truth - many individuals use anti-depressants without a clear understanding of how to address the root problems. What's more concerning is the lack of recommendations to consult mental health professionals by most doctors.
In light of these findings, we're determined to conduct this camp every month to raise awareness and help those in need. Mental health matters, and we're committed to making a positive change for our patients' well-being.
